NABTEB is an A-level programme that grants you direct admission into any technical institution in Nigeria if you successfully meet the require cut-off mark.
A lot of people know NABTEB for its O-level exam but NABTEB also conducts two A-level exams which includes ANBC and ANTC.
ANBC means Advance National Business Certificate, and ANTC is Advanced National Technical Certificate.
NABTEB OVERVIEW
NABTEB was set up by the Federal Government in 1992 as an examination body in order to reduce the problem of conducting examinations in the country which initially involves a lot of technical and trade-related practical, which was formerly handled by WAEC.
The primary aim of NABTEB A-level is to assist student who desire to get admission into the university with JAMB but has not been able to achieve that and NABTEB serves an alternative to JAMB
However, the ANBC & ANTC certificates are synonymous to OND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEB and if you have the NABTEB A-level certificate, you can be placed on level 5 if you are seeking for job in the civil service.
Either if you are going for the technical and business part of NABTEB, you are to take part in the modules that has been designed for NABTEB A-level.
If you successfully pass NABTEB A-level programme, you will be graduating as a technician and you can use the certificate in different technical areas to secure a job for a junior level position (level 5).
If you are looking to use NABTEB as a direct entry to 200 level, you must be applying for Business-related courses like; Business Administration, Accounting, Banking & Finance, or Management Courses or Technical–related courses (e.g.: Architecture, Engineering courses, etc.).
NABTEB ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
The required qualification for admission into NABTEB is that a student must have a minimum of five (5) Credit Passes at the Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE) and Ordinary Level in subjects relevant to the desired university programme or course of the student’s choice.
Students who have awaiting result can also apply for O’level programs while attending the NABTEB A-level Program.
