Are you a student that has been worried about gaining admission into Nigerian institutions because nothing is working, you have tried jamb and it is not working?

Have you heard about the IJMB and JUPEB programme? In this article, I would be explaining the importance of both programmes and how you can secure easy admission to 200level.

What is IJMB?

IJMB (INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD) is a programme that is approved and certified by the Nigeria University commission and it is handled by Ahmadu Bello University.  The program is, however, run by different tertiary institutions and study centres across the country.

Like I stated above, IJMB is designed to create a platform for students to gain direct entry admission into 200level without JAMB.

JUPEB, however, is JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMINARY BOARD and it also serves as an avenue for students to gain 200level admission into any Nigerian university of their choice.

The JUPEB unlike IJMB is handled by the University of Lagos and it was approved by the Federal Government in December 2013 for students to use to secure admission into tertiary institutions in the country.

Both programmes only require a student to have an O’level or awaiting result.

IJMB and JUPEB programme requires Prospective candidates to select any THREE (3) A-Level IJMB Subject Combination including General studies (English Language) that relates to their preferred course of study in the university and the students would be required to go through a training and teachings for a period of 9-11 month at their various study centres and they would afterward write their final exam

JUPEB is however more expensive than the IJMB programme and JUPEB is widely accepted by most schools in the country.

Their certificate does not expire, you can always use it for as long as you want but it is only meant for admission purposes.

There are various accredited centres in the country that you can run the programme for but the exam and certifications only come from institutions that are licensed to moderate the exam.

IJMB and JUPEB are accessible to all students; those who just completed their secondary school education with evidence of O level or awaiting the result from their schools.

We advise students to check their parent/guardian financial status before registering for the programme.

Depending on the various study centres, IJMB school fees ranges between #140,000- #180,000 and JUPEB fees us between #200,000 – #250,000.

IJMB session usually starts early April and ends in February while JUPEB is September to July

JUPEB and IJMB has become the new way for students to gain admission and they both grant you direct entry into 200level, so it wholly depends on you which one you go for.

Depending on whichever you want to go for, we want you to know that both programmes are easy and you are guaranteed of your admission if you really prepare and study for it.

Studying hard, praying hard and preparing hard for the duration of the programme is what guarantees your success.
