INTERIM JOINT MATRICULATION BOARD
IJMB was set up under statute 5 of the Ahmadu Bello University Law in 1974 as an equivalent A-level programme for students seeking for admission into Nigeria tertiary institutions. IJMB is used as an intermediate course of study for students seeking admission to any Nigerian tertiary institution. Students who take the IJMB programme would be trained based on their desired course of study in any Nigerian tertiary institution.
Students would be granted direct admission to 200 level through Direct entry without having to go through UTME and it is opened to interested applicants nationwide There are a lot of various IJMB learning centres in Nigeria and our centre is registered and recognized as one.
However, it is worthy to note that IJMB and its result are recognised by more than 80% of federal, state, and private universities within and outside the country for direct admission into 200level and with a secured and guaranteed admission.

HOW IJMB WORKS
Prospective candidates for IJMB are expected to select any three IJMB subject combination that is synonymous with their preferred course in the university either Science, Art or Social Science courses. Every candidate would be lectured for a specific period and would afterward sit for their final examination in accredited centres and the certificate from IJMB can be utilized to secure admission via direct entry into 200 level in any Nigerian tertiary institution.

LEGIBILITY / UNIVERSITIES ACCEPTING IJMB
IJMB is widely recognized as an examining body for both Ordinary and Advanced Level Examinations by the Federal Government, through its various educational agencies in the country. The IJMB result is listed amongst the acceptable modes of entry in Nigerian institutions in the JAMB brochure. The syllabus is approved by the National Education Research and Development Council (NERDC)
