JUPEB, however, is JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMINARY BOARD and it also serves as an avenue for students to gain 200level admission into any Nigerian university of their choice.
The JUPEB unlike IJMB is handled by the University of Lagos and it was approved by the Federal Government in December 2013 for students to use to secure admission into tertiary institutions in the country.
Only requires a student to have an O’level or awaiting result.
HOW IT WORKS?
JUPEB programme requires Prospective candidates to select any THREE (3) A-Level IJMB Subject Combination including General studies (English Language) that relates to their preferred course of study in the university and the students would be required to go through a training and teachings for a period of 9-11 month at their various study centres and they would afterward write their final exam
JUPEB is however more expensive than the IJMB programme and JUPEB is widely accepted by most schools in the country.
Their certificate does not expire, you can always use it for as long as you want but it is only meant for admission purposes.
There are various accredited centres in the country that you can run the programme for but the exam and certifications only come from institutions that are licensed to moderate the exam.
JUPEB fees us between #200,000 – #250,000
